This photograph is related to the last two week’s blog posts. Here’s how it fits in. The image was made at a small town city living museum that might be in Molson, Washington. We did not spend enough time to make a project out of this place, but it was more productive than a “one and done” location. Last week, I mentioned the “right place to stand” as being one of the two elements of good photography. The “right place to stand” does not always mean standing. I usually work with a tripod set at about waist high. In this case, I don’t think the legs were extended at all to get a better view of the wood stove. “Standing” means camera placement which includes, right/left, forward/back and most importantly, up/down.
