Just a couple of guys getting ready to photograph
This year’s photo safari is something completely different. Rather than going to the Pacific Northwest, my usual photo hunting grounds, Brooks Jensen and I are going to South Central Utah to photograph Capitol Reef National Park. At least that’s the plan right now. Who knows what will happen when we get there. We’ve never been there and know only what we’ve seen on the internet and heard of from photographers such as Huntington Witherall who have photographed extensively in Utah. This part of the USA will be a new experience for us.
The jumping off point for our safari is, as you can see, Las Vegas. It is the most convenient point for Brooks and me to meet and begin our journey. I’m arriving late this evening and then head out early tomorrow for Utah. We hope to be at Capitol Reef in time to catch some afternoon light on Friday.
Stay tuned to the blog for (almost?) daily updates and snapshots of this year’s photo safari.
