Old habits die hard, I guess. In the old days, when photographers had to isolate themselves in dark, fume filled rooms to process prints I did most of that work in the winter. My photographic darkroom time was concentrated in the winter months when the golf courses were closed and there was no yard work to do. Now that the darkroom is used for brewing and the computer is readily available, I still find myself thinking of doing lightroom work in the gloomy winter months. Except, I live in the Carolinas and winter isn’t very cold and winter light is really quite wonderful all day long. Little wonder I’m behind on all the projects I want to do. It’s so much easier to go out on a lovely winter day and photograph than spend time indoors in front of the computer.
