Lake Tenaya
Today was an experimental day. The experiment was Brooks using his electric road bike on the valley floor of Yosemite. We took off in the morning over the Tioga Pass photographing all the way. The smoke from the wildfires was evident and abundant throughout the day. The vistas usually associated with America’s crown jewel were mostly obscured by smoke. Firefighting airplanes were visible at times. Classic views of Half Dome and the Valley were very much affected by the smoke. The good news was Brooks’ bike experiment was an unqualified success and I was able to get some nice Yosemite tee shirts for the Grandchildren. Oh, and make a few photographs on the valley floor; none of which included a view of Half Dome.
