Tony was an avid golfer and was proud of the number and variety of courses he played throughout his life. He played golf everywhere; from the high end resort golf courses in Hawaii to the humble muni courses in small Midwestern industrial towns. He played them all and loved them. This was the first time he saw a course he didn’t want to play.

609 Amber’s Princess Dreams
It was right there before Amber; a castle on top of a hill surrounded by forests. The stories in her chapter books told of princesses and castles on the top of hills and little villages below. Her Momma always told her they were make-believe stories, but Amber just knew they were true. The stories were true, because there was her castle.

608 A Good Family Story
He told us his several times “great” grandmother Sally Sue experienced the Northern War of Aggression first hand. Family stories claim General Sherman himself torched the family farm and taking the only milk cow they had. Sally Sue was madder than a wet hen because General Sherman’s Family was nowhere near the war. In fact, she said he sent them to live in Indiana… with… Catholics. He said some of his family still hold on to these hard feelings.

607 Tea for Sue
Sue was a grand old lady and the Mother of a good friend. One time when visiting her I shared a cup of my cinnamon stick tea. She liked it very much so I left her some tea bags and then sent her some more for her enjoyment. Sue passed on a while back, but whenever I make a cup of cinnamon stick tea I think of her.
