As part of my More Memories than Dreams project I am digitizing old negatives and creating new projects from negatives that were never printed, or redoing negatives that were damaged, or had exposure problems. In doing this I have found that Negative Lab Pro Software is wonderful and if one combines that with the latest of Adobe’s AI noise reduction feature the results can be dramatic.
Technology is creating a whole new area of work for me. Advanced technology is helping me go backward in time to resurrect images and create projects that couldn’t happen with old technology. Negative scratches? Gone. Overexposure? Gone (Did you know HDR works on negatives?) Intruding branches? Gone. Eliminating golf ball size film grain? Poof! Disappeared magically. Sophisticated digital editing can resurrect film negatives that never make it past the proofing stage.
Now that I have solved the technology problem, I only wish there was something out there that could help improve my poor visualization as much as Negative Lab Pro and Adobe's Generative Fill.
